For those of us who ran to the record store on March 21, 1989 to grab Madonna's fourth (and widely considered 2nd best album ever - behind Ray of Light) were pleasantly surprised.... sort of.

Madonna's "Like A Prayer" album was one of the very best records of the 80's and certainly the very best record Madonna has ever released up to that point. It's a lot like "Ray of Light," Madonna's follow-up, 10 years later.
